About Me
Hello, welcome to my webpage! I am currently an Associate Professor (with tenure) in operations management at the Miami Herbert Business School, University of Miami. I do research in the areas of operations and supply chain management, revenue management analytics, and the interface of operations/marketing/economics. Motivated by real-life problems, my research builds, solves, and applies economic models to provide managerial insight to firms seeking for operational innovations that lead to advantageous positions in cost, quality, and resilience. My personal goal is for my research findings to generate actionable insights that can be applied and create value in practice. My research works have been published in Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, and Operations Research. Besides research, I also regularly teach Operations Management at undergraduate and MBA levels. I serve as the coordinator of our Ph.D. program with OM concentration.
I joined University of Miami in 2015, right after I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Management Science at UBC Sauder School of Business, the University of British Columbia, where I also got my M.Sc. degree in Mathematics at UBC Math Department. My B.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics is from the School of Mathematical Sciences, Zhejiang University.
